Which is a shame, since MUGEN games have always felt like garbage. It's a bit weird that there aren't more KOF ROM hacks out there, but perhaps people see MUGEN as sufficient. On Character Types (1-6), it changes a bit the focus and/or lighting in the character sprites. I mean technically this is also just a bootleg version of SF2, but it's weird enough that people still play it for the lulz. The only one I've seen in an arcade is "King of Fighters 2004 Special Edition," which is just KOF 2002 with different backgrounds.
